Choose Thankfulness
Remind me never to write a story about "weathering a storm" again! Haha Ever since then it just seems to have been one thing right after another. But anyway, on to the actual post. :)
My Dad recently challenged us to have a day full of praising God. I decided in my heart to have a day full of thankfulness. My resolve was immediately tested when, getting ready for work, I discovered the shower water was cold. I hate cold showers! My thoughts were along the lines of "this isn't something that is very easy to be thankful for", but I decided to go ahead and thank God that I had a shower. I did add a request that my resolve not be tested like that again. ;)
In life, unexpected things come our way a lot. It's so easy to become sad all the time or get a negative attitude towards life, trust me I know. But, if you are a Christian you have Jesus living inside of you. You can have joy no matter what happens. Instead of focusing on the bad, try and focus on the good things that are happening. No matter how bad things seem, there is always something to be thankful for.
Challenge for the day: Whenever you have the urge to complain, turn that complaint into a prayer of thankfulness for something God has given you. Choose to be thankful for what is going right, instead of what is going wrong.

Once again a great post. I love it. I am thankful for you.
