Making a Difference
Recently, I have been burdened with today's society. Although, America as a whole has ceased to be a God fearing nation since before I was even born, it is more the Christians I am concerned with. The people who claim to have trusted Christ as their Savior already; In particular young ladies. Although, we (I am including myself in this post) may go to church at every opportunity: Sundays, Wednesdays, and special meetings, we can talk and converse with other Christians about the things of God, etc, but are they really real to us? Do we live our daily lives as if Jesus Christ lives inside of us? Lets take a moment to examine ourselves. What consumes your thoughts on a daily basis? Is it the things of the Lord? What about the tv shows you allow yourself to watch/ books you read not to mention your music. Instead of asking "What's wrong with it?" ask yourselves "what is right with it?" Would you be comfortable watching/reading those things if Jesus were sitting right beside of you? Because if you are a born again Christian, He lives inside of you and it is the same as if He were sitting beside of you. I am not going to make this a long post, because I don't want to lose your attention, but just spend some time today meditating on how you live your everyday life. Is it spent pleasing the Lord or are their some changes that could be made? Are you spending your time on things that will matter to God or are you wasting your time on unimportant things? Do you want to make a real difference in your generation, for the Lord, or will you waste your life trying to blend in with a world who cares nothing for Jesus?

ReplyDelete"Would you be comfortable watching/reading those things if Jesus were sitting right beside of you?" That's seriously one of my favorite little quotes...I constantly use it-mostly for my own self-and it's so amazingly true. I cringe to think of what Jesus is doing up in Heaven. Probably shaking His head at His so called "disciples" here on earth.
ReplyDeleteExcited to read more! Yay for new blogs!
